1800.00... I figured that was a better deal than buying a used 60 for 1600 which is about what they go for around here. Im also going to use the seat from it in my 70 3/4 ton and the TH400 for my blazer.. The old 44 and the rear corp 14 as well as the transfer case are going to the 4x4 swap meet on the 11th
is the transfer case a 205 or 203?..I've been looking for a 205 for the '78 to replace the tired 203...right now it's being held together with JB Weld...somehow it still runs...
Im not entirly sure... I havnt has a chance to really look yet...
My little bro and one of the guys from our club are pulling the motor and trans right now. They are going to put the 350 in the toy that is shown in the evans creek run I posted.
Ill take a look at the transfer case When I get home.
Congrats on the D60F. Always a nice find. Now that my build up parts list is complete, I'll be doing the gears and installing my detroit in mine. I also have moly inner and outer shafts, 35 spline on both. I also have longfield super joints for the axle joints that i'll be trying out. Hope to have it up and running around soon. It's actually not "down" .. lol, just not built yet.
If you can't find one and want to replace it with another 203, i got a spare taking up space in the garage.....cheap too. Also a turbo 350 with low miles if anyone else is looking.
sorry..just ran to the junk yard yesterday and snagged a 205, along with four 35" mud tires with wagon spoke rims, 4 glasspacks (2 for the 78, 2 for the 86), and a roll-bar for my buddies truck...all for the price of 175 bucks
So yeah, where-abouts in WA is there a 4x4 swap meet? i'm jonesing for a 14FF in a bad way. Could use a 205 as well.
Nice find there with the CC. I hate to see CC's parted out, but what're ya gonna do? Ideally I'd get my parts from trucks that would be headed for a junkyard, but it doesn't always happen.
Yea. I totally agree... This truck was a complete junker....I woulda given it another year before it was in a wrecking yard if the motor made it that long... The 4x4 swap meet is at the Evergren state fairgrounds in Monroe.
Ill have my old D44 with 4.10 and a limited slip as well as the 12 bolt 4.10 set from my old rear .
Im going to pull the Corp 14 out of the one ton and get rid of my 33's as well.... Ill try to bring the t case if I have the time...
Looks for a red 2wd 98 chev step side..
Cool, thank you for the info. I'll have to see what I'm doing that weekend. Might be worth a drive. If you've been to this one before, what is the usual turnout for this event?
I also installed cross over steering as well as a Lock Right in the front.
I bought what looks to be a pretty good little Air Compressor at Harbor Freight Harbor Freight Tools - Quality Tools at the Lowest Prices
I connected it to a 9 GAL portable tank and mounted everything in the back over one of the wheel wells and installed a quick connect on the R side of the truck.. Oughta come in handy..
