I've put it together on my 9" and if you want to run a narrower axle, get the whole lincon rear-end. This is all conditional on finding it. BTW - I can attest to the fact that all the brackets on the tube of the lincons are mild steel, a torch and grinding wheel will make an afternoon of cleaning up the housing.
