I have a ford 8.8" 31 spline rear diff in my jeep from a 2001 Mercury Mountainer and have destroyed the side gears, spider gears and clutch packs. Does anyone have any info on what year gears and clutch packs will fit into that carrier? I do not want to change out the carrier as then I will have to reset up the crown and pinion again. I have a line on a carrier from a '92 F150, does anyone know if the internals from that carrier will fit into my carrier? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
