Ford 8.8 Questions?

I am considering swapping my rear d35 for a ford 8.8. Just wanted to know everything I will need to get for the swap. I have a 1991 YJ. Jeeper99XJ said all I would need would be some spring perches and shock mounts. What about the drive shafts? Anything there? And does anyone know what gear ratio is in the rear d35 for a YJ? Thanks for any help.

95-up comes with disc brakes
i just bought one from jim leonard in oklahoma for $425 or he has some for bid on e-bay. he has 400 with 3.55's, 70 3.73's and a few 4.10's. don't quote me on these quantities but are close.

it's a direct bolt-up basically. spring pads and shock mounts to be welded. you can get rid of your shims and weld the spring pads to the correct pinion angle. e-brake cable may have to be fabbed, not sure yet.

You will need a spicer ujoint adapter because the 8.8 uses a flange style mount. These can be purchased for around 25 bucks and MORE sells them for 50. Make sure you get caliper cores from teh junkyard you get the axle from, otherwise new calipers will cost you quite a bit. Chances are you wont have teh same gear ratio in your front end. A lot of the YJ's have 3.07's but check it out just in case.
