Don't ever rely on the windshield frame, with or without braces, for rollover protection. It won't.


If your wheeling at all, your first investment should be for safety, not tires and lifts.

yup, outlaw is right. most of the materials on the light weight zuk are typical flimsy import crap and i do not trust them to save me. that is why i will be constructing a cage for mine this spring.

On Rockrat's front hoops he makes tabs to hold the windshield. I saw this on Jimzuki's rig; one of the first rat cages. I'm sure you could use some sort of faster-fastener (a bolt with a thumb-head or something).

You have to unbolt the top bars, and the pieces that the tops of the doors seal on, too. Bars you may as well remove, but as for the piece above the door.....itll stay in place with the door closed and the windshield up...i guess thats all you need, really.... i doubt youd be running with the windshield down and still have the top on
