I was considering flipping my u-bolts on my 84 CJ7. What benefit/loses are there in doing this? Can I use my stock CJ spring plates with new u-bolts? Can I still retain my front sway bar? Will the shocks still function and line up properly? Thanks

There is a write up on off-road.com about using the spring plates from a Dodge with a dana44 rear-end. You will need new shock mounts. I will find and link the article for ya. Also Dynatrac makes a nice kit for doing this, it is a little pricey, around 140.00.
