Give me some info on them I know peole run them but I dont really know all that much about them. Thanks alot TOM

They are alot stronger than mini truck axles from what I remember.
The guys from Texas were running 36" on his FJ60 axles on his samurai and destroying drive shaft, but the axles them self were holding up fine. They are heavy but very strong.
Search the pirate4x4.com board under suzuki section and there should be some info. on them there.

The birfs and axle shafts in the fj60 are the same size as the mini axles (33mm, same as some Dana 60s). The ring gear is much larger though, 9.25". The shafts have 30 splines. The standard gear ratio was 3.7.

The fj60 axles are about 3" wider than the early mini axles, or about 8" wider than sammi axles.

I don't know if the pinion side of the 3rd member is any longer.

And yes they are heavy, close to a narrow Dana 60 - much heavier than a mini.

The other difference is that the inspection cover is removeable unlike a mini where it is not. For the same size tires you will have about 3/4" less clearance since the 3rd members are bigger.

Gears and lockers cost a little more for the Land Cruiser axles as well.

I was going to go with FJ60 axles but there was going to be issues with the diffs being to far outboard causing issues with the spring perches, but there ways around that. I ended up using an FJ40 rear and narrowing the FJ60 front to match the rear. The rear shafts are way bigger then the mini shafts up to the splined part, then they are the same so you dont really gain much strength but you do get bigger wheel bearings. I would go for it if the price is right. You do loose a little ground clearance but it hasnt been an issue for me. Its a fair trade off for the offset rear, well kinda, it will be off set the other way a bit. Heavy is good, its unsprung weight and will help you stay upright, well most of the time
