The first thing you need to do is to take an extended course in remedial reading, language, and sentence construction. a vocabulary improvement to eliminate the thinly disguised obscenities would't hurt either.
You're 14 years old, for heaven's sake!
Then people would have a clue to what you're saying!

sorry hot shoe, by the way i am 15, but anyways, i gotta find out all the info bout the valve i am going to go pay him a visit, once i do that ill get back to you, but i went up and down a few times (jets)on the quad, i am at a 124 right now because the air lid is not completely off so i didnt jet to a 128, it just has holes, so it was aat 118 , then a 128 with no air box lid, then to a 124 now, with holes

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
As I have discussed with you several times in PMs or e-mail, you need to do a test ride & plug read rather than just guessing in order to know whether or not the engine is lean. One of the primary causes of burned valves is a lean air/fuel mixture. The lean mix causes an overheated engine, which burns valves and also pistons. Worst case is a broken piston with pieces falling into the bottom end...major bucks!

Once you do the test ride with a new plug & read rhe plug you'll know what to do, if anything, in regard to jetting. You may also find out why you need a new valve or two.

im not sure if you got the valve fixed yet or not, too lazy to read about it, but on my xr i didnt' ever adjust the valves...and when bodge said it might "kiss" the valve a time or two, their is no second time after the piston touches the valve...unless it literally brushes against it like .0001 away...i jammed a valve straight into the piston, i don't think u have that big of a problem w/1 valve being burnt, just replace it and remember to get the thing checked every couple of months...bodge, have u ever even been inside a fourstroke engine? ah yes...the good ole xr80

i remember that thing...what ya need their ian is a two stroke...problem solved

...anyway, i will do the plug read again, i am just glad to find the problem....and tell my freind he is a damn idiot saying my engine wont be hurt if it runs lean....but will my vavles still burn if fat? or jsut lean? gotta know, casue i just go the machine in may

Ian, no, you won't hurt a thing if you jet a little or even a lot on the fat side. It's always better to re-jet on the fat side when rejetting and drop down a size if the plug indicates. The worst that can happen is a fouled plug and that's rare on a 4 stroke.I'm betting that a lean mix is the reason for the burnt valve.

This has got to be the funniest post I have ever read. We have the correction of spelling and gramatical errors. We have Birthdays and even have vavles and pistons smacking together, Burnt valves, riding in 6 inches of more snow, etc... Damn this was a good one......

i'd say that has something to do w/intake or exhuast valve dropping down further or something...brian, BELIEVE me, if your valve connected w/your piston hard enough to freaking dent the piston your valve WOULD NOT STILL BE IN PLACE!!! think about it, the stem on it is like the size of a tooth pick...i mean, maybe by some miracle a valve could stay in place after that impact if like it dropped straight down, but it's even at an angle, it would just snap the valve off...believe me dude....
