Finally got the nv4500 today! Just got the tranny though, waiting on ups for the bellhousing and such. I haven't been so happy in a long time. My Jeep broke almost exactly 3 months ago. It took 6 weeks to get the money and another 6 weeks to get the tranny cause they were backordered. Hopefully by the weekend after next I'll be back on top. As soon as it's done I'll post some pics. I haven't even gotten to see how my new teraflex lift performs, it's been on for about 2 months. This is gonna feel like a brand new Jeep again! Just so excited I had to tell someone /wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif!

You will love the NV4500,and be amazed at the difference the low 1st gear makes on the trail.I've had mine in since April and now wonder how I managed without it.rh

Have fun, but make sure taht you have all the right adapters. Advance screwed me, and sent me the wrong bellhousing twice, and then the wrong clutch. I will never buy anything from there again.

Well, you have done the EASY part. Now comes the HARD part, putting it all together. Just remember, there is joy to be had from this when it's done.

A couple of recommendations:

1) check EVERYTHING 5 times. As mentioned above, some folks have had problems with their parts and kits (I had to have 3 clutch/Throw out bearings installed before they found the correct combination).

2) don't try to go too fast.

3) READ instructions, there won't be enough of them, so make sure that you know what they are saying.

ENJOY, you'll love your crawl ratio when you're done...
