I'm sorry to say that the news has not been good. We have learned that the cancer has spread and Adriene will have to go under the knife (again) on the 12th. I hate to see them hack on my baby like that but we'll take it if gives her a fighting chance. She is a strong person and is fighting with everything she has. I can't tell you how hard it is not being able to do anything to help her. I would like to thank all of my jeepn friends that have prayed for my daughter and have given us their support during this most difficult time. Please remember my daughter on the 12th and say a little prayer for her. Thanks so much.

tubamonte, she's 23 with 2 children, and her name is Adriene Booth.

Our prayers still go out to her and you. We remember her nightly and hope for the best.

We will keep on with the prayers also. Remember though, they wouldn't be trying to cut if there wasn't confidence that they could get it. When they cut, it is still fairly localized. That is much better then spreading all over the body and chemo your only option. Keep your head up, keep asking for help and keep up the praying, it is the best path.

The greatest fear a parent has is that they outlive one of their children. It's a fear too often realized. I and my family will add our prayers for

a. Your daughter's recovery
b. You to have peace of mind during the surgery.
c. God's guiding hands for the surgery team.
d. Ability to accept God's plans and an inkling into it.

Dave,

As somebody else said on this post: They wouldn't operate if they didn't think it had any chance of succeeding. Keep up your and Adrienne's spirit. Let her know she's not alone in this. I'll keep praying for her beating this.

Thanks a lot everyone. It seems I can always count on my jeepn brothers and sisters in time of need. Your thoughts and prayers and needed and very welcome. Adriene has lots of good folks praying for her and if its God's will, everything will turn out okay.
Hope everyone has a safe and happy 4th of July.
Thanks again.

Something that helped my dad was to print all the responses out and show them to her. It made his day and really lifted his spirits knowing people around the world he had never heard of were pulling for him.

God Bless her and the whole family. I wish there were something more that we could do, but i will pray that all these prayers put up one hell of a fight with her. Everyone knows that you cant go through something that great alone. I hope it is all over as fast as possible and if these prayers keep comin'-it will.
best wishes
