My 90 Tracker automatic idles erraticly between 800 and 1100 rpm when in gear and the headlights are on or the heater motor is running. If I don't have the lights or fan on it idles steadily. I have already replaced the engine computer. Any idea what could cause this? Thanks.

I would check your grounds......Zuks are notorious for complications due to bad grounds. If your grounds are good - check your alternator and sensors.

I AGREE!!!! Suzuki's have a VERY common problem with bad grounds. There's a ground wire between the distrib housing and the firewall. Throw that away and replace it with a # 10 gauge ground strap. You'll need about 8" of wire strap and two eyelets for the ends. Crimp and solder the eyes on the ends of the ground strap, replace it, that should fix you right up.

Minas well also add another/replace the ground on the battery to firewall too.

Very common..

For me, it was the battery terminals. The stock ones simply suck. I replaced mine with huge lead ones, as I needed more room for the power lines for my lights, amp, and alarm.

Never checked.... is the dizzy-firewall line a Sammi thing, or does it also apply to Track/Kicks? I'll have to check that one out..... Still got some 10ga left from when I did my main tranny-battery ground wire.
