Almost time to do the 16 valve swap .I'm in the search for a 95 ECM. I would just like to know if I can I use an ECM from a 92 or does it have to be from an 94 or 95 only ? I know trackers came out with 16 valve engines as early as 92 (obd1) and after 95 it's a different animal (obd2)

1994 was the first year that some models of Trackers had 16 valve engines. Some Sidekicks had them starting in 1992.

Send Whazoo a PM. He converts the 16v wiring harnesses and knows which ECMs are interchangeable.

I believe the '92s had single body fuel injection whereas the '95 is multi port. If it matters as far as the ECM.
