DUI--Plug wires??

My buddy got his DUI today and we're going
to install it Saturday morning. Hes got 7mm
Borg Warner wires on his 304 at the moment and
I'd like to know what you guys think he ought
to use to optimize his performance. I saw the
"live wires" at Performance Distributors site,
$95!!
What do ya think?

/wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif It has been my experience with GM HEI systems that if you DON'T use the Borg Warner wires you are asking for trouble. The 55 Megazorks of voltage that the GM HEI has will blow right through the rotor and go to the distributor shaft if the wires are too flimsy, or the plugs too old and beat. Keep the plugs in shape, and keep BORG WARNER WIRES on that puppy and you will go!/wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif Oh....and I hate to mention this.....but it might be prudent to have an extra rotor...just in case you get a real bad plug sometime and it has too much resistance and blows the rotor./wwwthreads_images/icons/crazy.gif

$95 may seem like a lot of beer money but the live wires are 8mm and wraped in a heat sheath red,blk, purpple, they are also numberd for your style of dis cap they are worth the cash if your goin do your Jeep do it right the first time .. order the live wires the 7mm will burn up he will be pushin 50,000 V through that muther.. and tell em --Taco Ed SAID SO!!
