centerforce dual friction clutch through trail tough = $219 plus shipping from west coast to indiana= $11.03
the fact that $230 is what everybody else sells the same item for before shipping and tax : PRICELESS

The Petroworks clutch is manufactured by Valeo, who makes the same stock clutches you refer to. Sounds like you had a bad one. Yours is the only report I've heard of problems with the P'works clutch, while I have heard literally dozens of complaints on the Centerforce clutch - it enguages Hard & All at Once, and cannot be feathered or slipped - it's designed to be a race clutch. Unless you're dune-jumping or street racing, the Centerforce clutch is the wrong application. A quality stock clutch will work fine if you're geared right.

I have the Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch, and have not noticed what any of you all have described about it
all grab or all let go... it fethers wonderful and works really nice.....
Have no experience with the petroworks clutch, but after reading the off-road.com review, seems like a really nice
one...

I am happy with the Centerforce clutch I have....

my thoughts

Successful people aren't those without problems, they're those who've learned to solve their problems.

I have installed several clutches in Zuk's over the past few months. I installed a stock replacement clutch from Advanced Auto Parts ($125) and it worked fine with the 1.3, but after upgrading to the 1.6 16 valve I was able to smoke the clutch so bad that the vehicle would barely move. I upgraded to the Centerforce Dual-Friction and I am barely able to get is to slip on or off-road. It is not as on/off as I expected so it is very comfortable to use on the road, but it took a little bit of adjustments to get it that way. The last clutch I installed was in the SLEEPER Samurai Project and I can get the DAKIN Heavy Duty clutch to slip a little....alot more than the Centerforce, but it still is a good clutch that grabs well.......but in my Zuk I wil definately run a Centerforce.

M-Links, Hybrid rear w/disc brakes, 5.12's LOCKED
Zuk hybrid rears in front & CJ fronts in rear
Rides like a Japanese Cadillac!
