I took the Jeepster out for a ride today and the rearend is vibrating due to the lift and offset rear wagoneer axle. Its offset about 4" to the passenger side. Right now it has the regular driveshaft from the old d44. I have the double cardan driveshaft to put in it as soon as I lengthen it tonight. Can I put the double cardan section by the rear axle or does it HAVE to be by the transfercase? I looked in the Chiltons manual at a few different pics and it shows it installed both ways in different pics. Anyone help me out?? Thanx.

Every time I've seen a CV joint, it's been at the transfer case side of the driveshaft. I have seen driveshafts advertised in the mags that have a CV at both ends of the driveshaft, but that's for extreme angle/vibration problems.
