/wwwthreads_images/icons/tongue.gif Hi, Kash.....As a former pusher of small block Chevys, I am a real devotee of driling the thermostat...In fact, if you DON'T drill the thermostat in a Chevy, they warm up all crazy/wwwthreads_images/icons/crazy.gif. The thermostat is actually supposed to have a tiny notch in the seat to by-pass air on fillup, but the notch is usually too small. Find a good place in the flat area...just before it curves...and drill something less than 1/8" dia. That will assure that the water flows past the thermostat and there will not be air trapped under it....air will NOT open the thermostat...only water will./wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif
