Okay, F134 would not start, carb leaking gas;
1) I gave her tune-up (plugs, wires, cap, rotor, points, condensor).
2) Replaced all gaskets in carb, thoroughly cleaned it.
...
3) Last night (at midnight) she starts up fine, I set timing, gap points, adjust idle set screw);
4) She runs okay, but kind of lopes at idle, no gas leaks.
...
5) This morining, pull choke, couple of pumps on gas, turn key, and she cranks but won't start. Found a small gas leak at the throttle shaft.
6) Is there a gasket or bushing that wears out in there?
7) And I would think it should still start?

Any ideas/suggestions would be great appreciated. TIA

I fought the same leaky YF for years on the panel, but mine leaked from the pump lifter link. It would run down the link and onto the carb base.
1) thru 5)......been there, done that...
6) I don't think there is any seal there. I believe what wears out there is the body of the carb, but it's been quite some time since I've dug into one.
7) Whether it would start or not, and how much it would leak...or not..... was anybody's guess. I thought I might have timing issues because of the random start/no start.

Finally I plopped the newer style YF from my CJ on there and it roared to life. It's my WD (weekly driver, l don't need a motor vehicle everyday) again and it sure feels good.

I know..not real helpful.... but l would definately focus on the carb....my problem was all carb........ign. and timing were fine.
Keep us posted please....I'd still like to put my original back on.

Thanks for the responses. Well so far best I can figure is I flooded it this morning but it still isn't running that great. Seems to lope at idle and still leaks a little (now at the metering rod). I guess I'll need to do a full rebuild on it
. Regards,
