DR's feel like a road bike dude, they don't excell quick, although, that 250 might have a good top speed, i would say 75...they have shocks that almost feel as though they wanna bottom when ya sit on it...ride the bike and see if ya like it, that bike would be EXCELLENT in the woods, smooth power....good suspension(for the woods).

Guy Cooper finished the old Blackwater race on that exact bike and completely stock. Thumper Racing makes some good mods for that bike. I had a DR350 and loved every minute of it.

I have heard that the DR350's haul. My advice on that DR250 was kinda biast Suzukigoot, i like to ramp alot, and just plain freestyle, endo's and wheelies and what not, although i like to ride in the woods alot. If you want to, go for it, see how ya like it, you can always sell it you know.

i too like freestyle. Its actually pretty funny the way i do my stuff, since im kinda short and all. but i really want a quad, cause i will be in the dunes, and sometimes just ridin around in tha country, goin up hills, see how fast i can go b4 whimping out

i like to ramp, but i dunno, would be nice to ride a moto around town... but i dont have license to do that. *sigh*

I think Guy Cooper proved MORE that hes one of the greatest riders out there.... NOT that a DR250 is a great off road dirt bike! /wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif I would bet that he would pass me on that bike on a flat track too!! even if he gave me a huge head start on my CR500.......
