Don\'t let the door hit you in the a$$, jeepchick..

Well, I just lost my jeepchick(newly converted due to putting a stereo in the YJ). After caring for her after knee surgery, that was her way of thanking me, going up to see her ex as soon as we were through Sat. morning. He can have her. 50% of our argument was about me spending $100 on lights for the Jeep and not getting her a Christmas present. It sounds selfish, but for my birthday she cheated on me. "Happy Bithday Bryan!!!". That was part of the reason for no present, although I was in the process of framing a portrait I drew of her for Christmas. Blah Blah Blah......
Screw it!
Found another potential Jeepchick, who needed no converting. She actually wants to buy one!! Cuter, cooler, drinker!, and well educated. Got to spend some good quality time with her all weekend. Only problem is she lives 2.5hrs away on the Jersey Shore. She's moving here this summer as soon as she finds a job!!! WOO HOO!!!
I just had to vent to you guys about this one. Sorry for the rambling...
Off work today since it's so damn nice out, so see ya'll later.

Re: Don\'t let the door hit you in the a$$, jeepchick..

I have found that women are like parking places...
All of the really good ones are taken...
And the rest are way out in left field,
Or handicapped.

All women are crazy, it's just to what extent...
Silverware down the garbage disposal and driving home when the oil light comes on kind of crazy,
Or the butcher knife to your privates kind of crazy...
You pick...

TeamRush I think you hit the problem with men and women right on the head. I think all women are crazy. They have to be. You know if we could go out on any night and get laid we'd be a little crazy too. Too much power. I think the key is finding the crazy one that you can deal with.

My Jeepchick isn't so much of a Jeepchick and if she leaves :) me I won't be getting another Jeepchick. I will enjoy Jeepchicks or any chicks for that matter very much but I don't want to answer to another one ever again. It's my money and if I want to spend it on my Jeep I will and YES I love my Jeep more. Take my advice.

My Jeep chick loves it when I spend money on the Jeep. She knows that the more the Jeep gets fixed the less she'll have to drive me to work, out of her way. Sometimes she comes to me and says, "Here's $250.00, go buy some Jeep stuff"!!!

What more could I ask for? She likes me, likes the Jeep and loves to help me spend money on stuff...

Re: Don\'t let the door hit you in the a$$, jeepchick..

Bitter?
Yes.
Why?
Year of my life I can't get back.
She wanted the Jeep running for when we were going to hit the beach, but you can't keep it running without time, money, and TLC. She couldn't understand it.
"I Want it now!!" attitude. Kind of a baby with a narrow view on the way the world works.
I work to have money.
I need money to fix the Jeep.
I need to fix the Jeep to drive to work.
Cycle of life which noone besides a REAL Jeepchick could understand. Point proven: not a real Jeepchick.
I've been through all of this before and probably will go through it all again. I'm still young and I will meet more Jeepchicks.
Just bitter.
Don't miss her.
Last words exchanged:
"Here, let me get that for you."Bryan
"I can get the door myself, I don't need your help."Amber
"I just didn't want it to hit you in the ass on your way out."Bryan
"Grow up!! A$$hole."Amber
"bye"Bryan
Good day to all fellow Jeepers.

Ya I'm with Carl. you need a jeepchick like ours! Mine has her own cj. She loves that thing as much as I like mine! She has never had a thing to say about buying parts as long as I don't say anything about her buying parts!!

I met a great Jeepchick once who had a Cj too. She was great and great looking too. Of course she never gave me a glance but hey.

Dude, time is not an investment. You can't store it up for future use. You use it & then it's gone. You either use it wisely, or foolishly. Doesn't matter. Once it's gone, it's gone. Take what you can from the past year & learn from it. You're bitter now not because she's ungrateful & gone, but because you feel like you should have booted her ass out a year ago - and didn't. You probably should have. We've all been there. Goodbye, good riddance. You're better off without her. Take pleasure in knowing that!

So are you saying that because this guy I know from work who is miserable because he can't stand his wife and has tried to work things out with no luck should give up and go for happiness? He doesn't have kids before you people go whacko.

Yep, ditch her. If he ain't happy now, he probably never will be with her, and kids will just make it worse. Go for the happiness. Time isn't able to be replaced, that's for sure, but it can be a learning experience. Forget her and drive on. I was almost married once, prior to JEEPNCHICK, and boy am I glad now it didn't work out. Is JEEPNCHICK into jeeps as much as I am? Nope, but it's a start and she understands. Life is about compromise, there is no "perfect" jeepchick out there, nothing in life is ever perfect, there is only better. You should also stop comparing each girl to the next and start looking for one with your interests in mind. Sounds like the last one wasn't that compatable. Chalk it up to a learning experience and just don't make the same mistake twice. Mistakes are common, everyone makes them, repeat mistakes are unacceptable and shouldn't occur, IMHO.

Did I mention she is a secretary where I work? Damn. Forgot about that./wwwthreads_images/icons/tongue.gif
Good thing is that she won't be back for a while due to the surgery. Phew. Should have taken the advice from my buddy, "Don't sh|t where you eat and don't take a dive into the secretarial pool, you'll always drown."/wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif/wwwthreads_images/icons/wink.gif
Thanks everyone.

well the way i look at it.. is my cj.. is like a filter.. and the more work i do on it.. the stricter that filter gets.. since the jeep just gets bigger and louder and more dents in it.. so i drive it everywhere.. keeping that filter on all the time.. if they dont like the jeep when they first see me.. then i dont need them.. :)
cool how that works..
and then once they get by a few dates in the jeep, i put them to the real test.. take her off roading in the jeep.. and i am not talking about the local mud hole.. a nice 10 hour drive with bikini top and soft doors.. good weekend of rock crawling.. beer swilling, spagetti O's eatin, non-sleepin type of weekend.. and if they dont bitch then.. well.. i consider keeping them around some then.. :)
good jeep.. good filter..
but i still find some cyco's out there.. mmm.. havent found a way to keep most of them at bay..
will have to do some more work on the jeep..

/wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif Well, Bryan....who among us has NOT invested heavily in a woman that was NOT worth the investment....just ask me, I spent 17 years trying to make a reasonable person out of a women's-libber psycho..../wwwthreads_images/icons/frown.gifIn the end, however, there WAS someone a LOT better for me, and in order to find HER, I had to "give it up' and declare a failure.....just what I hate to do.....but there was no other choice when the bitch files for divorce, it's over. Just be glad that she didn't take your kids with her, or about 60 thousand dollars of your money. Bryan,...NOT EVERYONE is worth the investment...NOT EVERYONE is right for YOU. And one more thing.....stop dipping your pen in the company inkwell!/wwwthreads_images/icons/frown.gif

Re: Don\'t let the door hit you in the a$$, jeepchick..

I thought women blowing wasn't a bad thing, or at least that's what my husband tell's me. Too bad about your girlfriend, stuff] happens, but guys can be pretty unreasonable also. Last spring I took our Jeep (original #1 CJ) to an alumni weekend at the college I went to & my drunk girlfriends (I was not drinking) convinced me to take the Jeep our 4 wheeling (my husband was not informed, he was not there). My best friend led me where to go (a total of 5 ladies stuffed in this CJ), and, of course, we drowned the jeep in a creek. A bunch of kids crossing the creek pulled us out after about 2 hours of freezing (it was May). We got a ride back to my friends house (jeep was left of side of creek bank for the night) & I called my husband, & told him & HE WAS NOT HAPPY. But he was very very very relieved we were OK. My best friend called her boyfriend & he freeeeeaaaakkkkeeed out! He yelled & screamed & the next morning left a message on her phone machine (that we all listened to), claiming that he hoped she was happy because he would probably wreak his car that day driving to pick up his daughter because he didn't get any sleep because he was so upset, & when she told him that she was going to help me & my husband with the Jeep that morning, he said "OH, now you're a mechanic!?!" (I needed help to siphon the water ridden gas out.) To this day, we cannot mention the incident around her boyfriend because he gets pissed (and it wasn't even his jeep!) Anyway, just a story of how guys can be real pricks & not understand Jeep things also. As far as my husband goes, he took liberty to blame anything that he wanted to replace on the jeep to water damage (how ARB air lockers were related, I can't quite remember). Good luck finding a new girlfriend who will understand, my tip is to find one that already drives some type of 4wd (my first vehcile was a 4x4 Ford Ranger).

I gave up my seven year relationship/marriage for Jeep'n. Never have I been happier!!!! All my money is worth putting into something I get back. And I have money left over to purchase a home, etc.. Hopefully you learn from this experience and it allows you to mature. I'm still looking for the cheap, computer geek, Jeep babe? Will I ever find her? Who knows? Keep your chin up and move on...

Re: Don\'t let the door hit you in the a$$, jeepchick..

I can't believe what I'm reading here. Selfishness, cruelity and stupidity all wrapped up into two people who interact and do all they can to hurt and destroy one another's lives. How terribly sad, just so very darned sad. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Jeep's are things, and people are more imprtant than things. Grow up and become a MAN who deserves a woman of like kind. Until then, you'll only get exactly what you're lookin' for...someone who's just like you.

Hey TR, about the Handicap crack... it ain't funny! I've been handicapped since I was 7, and have limped through life. The only thing that's hampered me is the thoughts and snickes of others who thought they had power over me. Well, like the above, it's a thoughless and stupid saying... I for one, take offense that statement.

Greed, arrogance, stupidity, thoughtlesness, envy, foolishnes one to walk through the hearts and minds of their fellow men and women with hobnail boots. Grow up NOW, before you leave a trail of broken and hurt people in your wake through life. You make the bed you lie in, and sometimes it ain't too comfortable.

At the age of 70 you ain't going to get much satisifaction out of the 40 year old Jeep in the garage if their ain't no one to enjoy it with you. Family, a spouse and children, grand and great granchildren can give you a whole lot more satasification than one, or a bizillion Jeeps. I speak from experience, there's nothing like having a child who's doing great in life, and brings home the most beautiful thing in the world... a grandchild for you to hold. It beats a Jeep any day! I can hardly wait until my children return home with their spouses and their children! What a wonderful time, and yes, the Jeep is a part of that wonderful day... each of my daughters enjoyed the Jeep as they've grown up. They are looking foward to the rides their children will take in that Jeep as it's become a part of the family. But it's only a thing, and things are not forever, but my wonderful wife of 26 years and my beautiful children and their children are!

Where I grew up there were two types of people, humans and non-humans. The non-humans were called "They who walk on two legs." They who walked on two legs had not earned humanity and were counted as such. It's taken me over 50 years but I'm human. I may walk on only one leg, but I'm human and have earned the title. I only wish it for you and yours, but from what I've read here, if you don't mend your ways, grow up and become a MAN worthy of a WOMAN who is worthy of a MAN, then you're more handicapped than I, and I for one shall neither pity nor weep you.

Good Jeepin'

Larry
