Re: Don\'t know!!!!!

Flower cars are very rare and VERY desirable amongst the "professional" automobile collectors. Make sure that the frame is in good shape, the older "stretch" cars have a tendancy to rust out where the frames have been lengthened. Also, if the windshield is "commercial" glass and cracked you'll never get it replaced - unless custom made. If the glass is standard size it should be no problem - flat glass side windows are easy to get replaced. If you're going to keep it and keep it somewhat original, make sure as much of the original hardware is there too, replacing missing parts is impossible - things like trim, side rails and any stainless pieces for the bed are usually "one off" pieces. This is a car that was rare to begin with and probably less than 5 (if even that) have survived. If it's in reasonably good condition I'd suggest putting it on ebay before you tear it up towing with it. You'd make enough to be able to get an appropriate vehicle. If you don't want to sell it there, how much do ya' think you'd want for it? You could always sell it and buy a more common later model hearse for towing.

Please post some pictures and details on it - like the company who made the conversion and such. If you want to sell it, I can probably find you a buyer.

Re: Don\'t know!!!!!

I didnt realize these were rare . Good info Capn Crunch . As such you are right it would be a shame to tow with it . On a different note I found a falcon sprint and a M 715 yesterday , not as rare but still somewhat rare .

Re: Don\'t know!!!!!

Hey Capn Crunch and Daxe; Been in touch with different procars members several times, and other professional car clubs also, I have been gettin the drift that the car is worth somewhere in the neighborhood of 15000.00. This car/truck is in very very good condition, no rust anywhere on body or frame, has been indoors since 1968, chrome is in really great condition, inside has 1 broken stich on the drivers seat, easy fix! At some point someone took off all the stainless in the bed area and had a custom cover made for it, otherwise they said it would be worth much more, It has all of the orignal hub caps and 2 of the orignal tires, could use fresh paint as it is dull from sitting. the OD reads 33000 miles, all glass is like new. Really, I think it would make a great car for advertisement. I will be getting pics up by this weekend, U guys are gonna love it. I believe the Coachwork to be by Comet, who has long since been out of business. Stay tuned for further updates; Thanks George; P.S. Am still up in the air about it. 3-----

Re: Don\'t know!!!!!

It is a car that would follow behind the hearse in a funeral and carry the flowers to the next site. Looks like a hearse in the front, high roof and all, but looks kinda like a giant El Camino in the rear, with about a 2 foot streach, very rare, especially on an Oldsmobile platform! 3-----
