theres a suzuki around the beach ive seen a few times with plates "FJEEPS"

not too classy but it is pretty funny.

Here in denmark they cost 1000.00 $ and then you have them for 8 years, and after that you can reaply for 8 more years.

But the best one I've ever seen was "MYNAME"

ive been waiting 8 years for "74CJ5" to become available....meantime ive got "JEEP74" antique plate...actually much cheaper than a regular plate here in NH

I put Antique plates on my 79 last year. (I also have one on my 78 Dodge pickup.) In Arkansas, they are $9.75 one time and never expire. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I've also had an amateur radio plate on the Dodge, then the 79 Jeep and now on the 88 YJ. Costs an extra $2 a year so about $28 for the YJ.

 

Im cheap too,,, I dont want to pay for the tag Fee & then pay extra for the vanity tag here in Md,, So I saw a vender at a Steetrod run once that made custom tags out of plastic ,,,
They didnt understand what I wanted but they made what I ask for ,,,

I've noticed a few people in this thread have said that certain plates were available. I was wondering if most states have a place on their site where you can check availablity of a plate before ordering. In Pa. you send in a form with 3 choices, and if they're all taken they send your check back. seems like a crappy system to me.

here in NH we register at our town clerks office, before she starts, i ask her to check availability of "74CJ5"(---so far, its unavailable /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cussing.gif) takes her bout 10 seconds on the computer

and yes, if i wanted "7T4CJ5" i would ask about it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

KY lets you check a particular plate and even shows you what it would look like.

But my Jeep has the best Jeep related plate on it I could think of...bent and dirty, No special saying on it.
