I was reading the article on the neon-sammy seat conversion in the new i-zook. I didn't see anything on what years fit. I don't think dodge kept the same seating arrangement when they released the new body style. I could be wrong though. I see many neons in the junk yards out here some with nice leather seats.

My first set can out of a 99 or the older body style. I have put them in 3 sammies and then told Scott how to do his.. Sure do make a ride a lot better. Also will allow for the longer leg fellows a little more adjustment. and for me being a shorter fellow I set just a bit higher.
If I ever get a chance i going to look at the newer neon and see what they look like.

Correct me on this if I'm wrong, but I was told to try and get the seat's out of a 2-door Neon B/C the seat's out of the 4-door's don't recline up or back.
Does anyone know if this is true or not? The seat's in my sami are starting to get a little worn, so I"m gonna be replacing them this summer.

Blue_zuk shoot me a PM.
Also how hard would it be to bolt those in. I like the neon seats because they are a near stiaght bolt on. I have also been looking for leather x-90 seats I found a few but am not sure if I want to go through the hassle of modifing they to fit. Actually if any one is looking for blue and black leather x-90/kick/tracker seats I found a set from a wrecked Red Bull x-90 for like 75.00 for the set.

dont take this as an authorative response by any means, but the first thing I thought when someone said "leather neon seats" was "HUH?"

The Neon is an economy car. There are a couple models that have been tarted up pretty good (I had a 97 ACR Coupe with a leather wheel and shift knob) but you don't usually find car mfgers putting leather seats in economy cars, even as an option.

And FWIW, I hated the seats in my Neon. They had no lumbar support and were flimsy as hell. I have a set of Tracker seats adapted by Sean DeVinney (aftermarket 4x4) in my Samurai and i love them. I wish they would adjust about 2-3" farther to the rear, but they are very comfy to sit on.

Actually it's funny you say that. My original subject title said "Neon seats in a sammy??" I wasn't getting any hits, Then realized What it read as. So I quickly changed it.
See my biggest issue is that I have no opportnity to fab stuff. I live downtown Chicago, with no garage. I have basic tools, a drill and dremel. So I would have to have the seats sent someplace then sent back which can become costly. I think the closest person me is Scott. I wouldn't want to bug him with this, cause he's got cages to build, bead locks to create and hopefully some tube doors.

Why don't you just contact Sean and see if he has any nice seats available. I got a set of super nice tracker seats already modified to just bolt in from Sean last week. Took about 10 minutes to go from crappy seats to really nice seats. I had him set them up so that they give around 3 inches more leg room than what the stock seats had.

I used 97 Pontiac Sunfire seats and they can be done with the tools you have,
Dremel to cut away the excess metal under the existing drivers seat and Drill to put in some new holes to bolt em down with.

They are almost the exact same sitting height as the sammi seats, maybe an inch lower.. Soome new bolts and washers and you are good to go.

Only half right. My 4 door seats go back, but not forward, which is why I haven't done the
pass side yet. I need to use the 410 seat rocker that flops it forward so a pass can get in.
Just too busy...

I'm thinking the 2 door latch mechanisim can be switched over, but you won't have the
rear passengers release without other mods even if it does work...
