i am 18 years old and i will be going to college next year. i want to buy a tj used. i want to join an offroading club. this jeep will have to be my daily driver as well as an offroad rig. do you thinm i will have any problems such as major things breaking on the rig if i were to offroad it. i am not going t go to hardcore on the thing, maybe a 4 inch lift with 32's and lockers front and rear. is the dana 35 good with 32 or should i go to 31's, also is the gas milage going to be really bad or what? thanks for the help.

This question is asked about once every two weeks. Try searching if you haven't already. There are tons of suggestions. My .02. Forget about the mods and spend a little extra on the initial purchase in order to get a 4.0 six cylinder and shop around for a possible D44 rear. I would also recommend a hard top.

If you get this configuration you will have a very capable vehicle from the get go and can spend your $ on school needs. The 32's wont kill the D35, but a locker most likely will. You will be surprised at what you can do with open difs.

If you still want to mod, search here again for a way to make homemade coil spacers, another money saver. This will give you enough to fit 32s. Drive the Jeep like it is, as you get used to it, you will learn what areas you want to modify and can take it slow. Good Luck with the Jeeep and in school.
