Do jacks come in TJ\'s

Hi guys. I finally got my TJ. ITs a 4cylinder and man I love it. Its standard too! :). I was wondering if the TJ's came with a jack. The jeep is a 98 and I bought it used but cant seem to find a jack.

This is a two-parter... Part 1) Yes, they come from the factory with a jack. Part 2) Even if you still have the oem jack (if not, it's not a bad idea to get one), you still NEED a Hi-Lift jack. 48" is best, but the shorter one can be made to fit under the hood. If you can't find the oem, check the owners manual and make sure you just didn't overlook it, then go to the Jeep dealer with a poloroid and snap a shop or two of one in a new TJ. The proceed to the nearest salvage (junk) yard and find one that matches it pretty well. A new one from the dealer would be bucks, but you can pick up a salvaged one for a few dollars, and still have enough left for the Hi-Lift. Hope this helped. Happy Jeepin'!

the skimpy little "emergency" jack is under the passenger seat, unless someone took it out. I highly recommend a Hi-Lift jack also. If you ever have to use the OEM anywhere but on hard pavement, you'll be borrowing someone elses Hi-lift.
