Just wondering where the fill plug is on a dana 30 front axle? The diff cover has a plug on the lower third, but I am guessing that this is the drain plug. Also does anyone make an amc 20 rear diff cover with a drain plug in it so that you don't have to remove the diff cover everytime you change the fluids. Thanks in advance.

The plug on the diff cover on the 30 is the fill plug. You have to pull
the cover to change oil. On the AMC 20 you have to pull the cover
also to change the oil. but the fill plug is on the front of the diff
on the case. Changed my plug to a pipe plug on the AMC 20

An easy fix on the model 20 is to drill and tap the housing just in front of the flange on the bottom for a 1/8" pipe plug, allen type, the next time you remove the cover for service. This also works on the front diff also. Hope this helps, good luck!
