I am not getting compensated to sponsor any of these web sites (Jeep Ford Toyota) or promote them. I do not get a penny every time someone links one of these from one of my posts. So, please stop making it appear that I am marketing these sites by exploiting my personal writings as a base for their advertisement.

Errr ...I must have something switched off on my browser ...I can't link to anything in your post unless you put a url notation around it. Now I've seen this on other forums ...where an alleged key world is automatically linked to some sponsor site ..but again ...I don't "see" it

..and this is just from my POV ...."What are you talking about?"

..but ...while we're on the topic....

Do you begrudge the owners/operators of this site from harvesting a few crusts of bread ...a few slips of green paper in the form of revenues or avoided costs that allows them to provide such a wonderful resource that so many use with such frequency ..FREE OF CHARGE???

Just asking

Yes, I do. I begrudge the exploitation and misrepresentation of my personal writings for the financial gain of others without my consent. I may also choose to question the legality of it, but haven't yet done so.

I would agree with questioning the legality of it. Forums are designed for people to communicate and in a community. Posts are personal viewpoints and opinions. Forum communication has developed in such a way that linking to other sites and information on the net in posts has become a way of communicating your personal view of whatever you've linked to. By creating these links it gives the appearance that the poster is "sponsoring" this link in some way. I feel that this is in violation of our rights in some way... Im just not a constitutional scholar... Any way who wants the soapbox next!

Pardon me for being challenged ...but I still don't see what you're talking about MiniMe doesn't give me a link ..nor do any of the words in your post ..or anyone's post.

I've viewed the forum with Netscape 7.2 and Opera and its still the same.

Like I asked 'What are you talking about"? (if it would not be too much trouble to tell me how I somehow don't get subjected to this fiendishly diabolical clandestine action that threatens to unseat our ideals that have stood since the founding of our fine and honorable nation. - our paradigms have been shattered -eek!)

Help me share you ANGER

Though I frankley find the links annoying, they are not near as annoying as a Nissan Titan driving through my screen as used to happen.

If that's what it takes to keep this system free, I say go ahead.

As far as people thinking you are actually "sponsering" a particular vehicle brand because it is linked to your writing, the link only shows up on the first writing of the word, so end your diatribe with this:

"I do not support the linking of my writings to: Jeep, suv, mini, toyota, chevrolet, ford, nissan, hyundai, mazda, kia, volkswagon, yugo, saab, volvo, jaguar, range rover, ferrari, chrysler, mercedes-benz, audi, bmw, 4x4, grand cherokee, liberty, or any others who wish to link their name to my posts."

States your point, and gets rid of the links for the rest of the posts.

Im guessing you don't get subjected to this because you use netscape... Most people use IE..

You're right! I finally tried IE (I hate the thing because of no popup control .at least in the last version I used) ...and yes, I do see the links.

So ...for those who want to fool themselves into feeling that they're not being exploited
...switch browsers

Now you've done it
Here I was lurking around in ignorant bliss and now I feel expoited. Heck ...this is better than being a non-smoker and having a smoker to beat on

Let's see ...now let me vent my displaced anxiety that exists in the rest of my pathetic life and bear the cross of "victimhood" for everyone else to view

All in fun

Just get rid of that
Nissan ad that does not just clutter up my screen but effectively prevents me from seeing/reading what's behind it. Maybe it last only a few seconds, but dial-up is [annoyingly] slow enough w/o the Nissan [email protected] further slowing it & my reading down.

Yes, I KNOW the forum is free (and the ads keep it that way, but there are effective revenue production schemes that are less alienating than the Nissan poop.

I pass the lecturn to the next raver.....
