Hey guys I have a 92' wrangler and was wondering if it has a c-clip on the rear. I have always heard that the 35c with the c-clip stink. Is there anyway to find out if it does without opening it up. Also is it easy to exchange a 92 tranny (non-automatic) for a newer one with an external slave cylinder from a later version?

There are some upgrades available for the 35C. Warn makes a full-floater kit and there is also a C-clip eliminator kit (don't know much about it.) These improvements would eliminate the weakest point of a 35C. I'm not sure how much you'd spend, but it's a thought. For what it's worth, I'm going to 44's front and rear out of an '89 Waggie, but I'll spend quite a bit building 'em up and getting them mounted in the YJ.
