I have a Dana 300 that I've rebuilt and after re-filling with oil I'm unable to get the pan/cover to stop leaking!!

I've tried paper gaskets, RTV, etc. and still it leaks! The cover is flat between bolt holes. I'm out of things to try, is there a trick to this or a special gasket or special type of sealer to use??

Any Help would be appreciated!!

Kevin, I use permatex aviation sealant. It comes in a pint size container and has a brush built into the cap. It is really sticky and nasty stuff. I use it on my diff covers and they don't leak even after removing and re-installing them. Give it a try I love the stuff. Ricky..seeya...
