ok im looking at getting some spares shafts for my D44 (stock shafts) that will be done soon..
...should i get some:

1.stockers (factory replacement/junk yard)
2. yukon alloys
3. warns
4. superiors

im running 33's (might step up to 35's)with 4.56's on a 4-banger, most of my wheelling will be at URE nat. forest, tellico plus some mud trails around the area that we can find....i searched but didnt see anything about people comparing diff. companys

junkyard spares... however, the XJ shafts may be harder to come by.... or are there other 44's with the same shafts?

4 dinger and 33's Don't go out and throw a lot of money at spair shafts. You are really going to have to ream on them to break them with that set up. I would go junk yard...

You cant go wrong with Superiors quality.

As was mentioned earlier you probably wont have many axle problems with 33" tires.

hey w/t, can you hint me on what years of xj "cherokee?" dana 44's will fit under a tj? Im looking to do the axle swap soon and am starting to get serious about it.

the years would be from 87' to 90' for the XJ or MJ's.....just look for the metric ton package........or you can get a TJ D44 with brackets on it to save you some time getting them welded on the leaf sprung axle
