Well, another non jeep post, but im hoping with the knowlede that flows around here someone may know the BEST thing to do even if
it isnt the factory method.So....I need to put rings in a Briggs&Stratton 12 hp lawn tractor motor,I know how,but was wondering if
i should do anything to the aluminum cylinder wall like hone it or anything? Also would it hurt to run a 12volt car battery on it in place
of the cheapo 12vt tractor battery,or would it be better to use 2 lawn tractor batterys, just looking for a little better cold start umph..TIA

I can not remember how it is but on a aluminum cylinder wall I don't
think you should do anything. I would check with a small engin parts place .
I know this just does not seem right to me but I'm sure it is.
I do not think the car battery hurt anything I run one in my old John Deere
12hp Koler.
