Hi guys.

I just picked up a new project one my brother did not complete.
I dont have a digi cam but Im sure some of you guys that have done engine swaps will know what I'm talkig about.
he stuck a Mercedes 4 banger diesel in it and trany anyways the hood wont close because its bottoming out on the engine.
I know I could do a body lift but I really want to stay away from that.

I was thinking about maybe just letting the hood rest one the engine then maybe sticking some sheat metal around the sides but I think that might look sh!tty.

btw the drive train works I just need to work on the looks now

Might have to cut a hole and fab up a hood scoop or riser out of sheet metal. This would probably look best.

is there any place I can buy a premade one?
I don't have the skillz to make my own... well thats not true I could make one it would just look bad

just cut off wwhat you need to clear the hood, then make your own scoop

Here's what I did with a Home Depot roof vent..... Cost less than $10..........

I forgot to mention that I did modify the vent a bit, but it was very easy , done with simple hand tools......
