cranking down the torsion bars on a 2000 Silverado.....

I'd like some info on cranking down the torsion bars to level out my new 4x4 reg cab silverado. What can I expect, as far as wear and tear on other parts, how do I do it, is there another way to level it out by raising the front end?
Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

I cranked the torsion bars on my '90 I havent noticed too much in the drivability exept for it being a little looser. I dont know about the wear on the parts cause mine havent been cranked long enough to do damage yet, but we'll see what happens. The only problem i've had is using four wheel, my driveshaft rattles a little, I dont know if it comes from too muh angle or what.

Adjusting the torsion bars should have no effect at all on your front driveshaft. The problem is likely in your half shafts (axle shafts, or whatever the shafts that connect the differential to the hubs are called)...

Yeah, I'm not sure what was making the noise, cuz I drove around quite a bit with it locked in four wheel. It worked ok but just didnt sound right. There was kind of a hum or vibration coming from the front driveshaft area.
