Went into ACE to pick up some fasteners, at some point I must have hit one of the stock fasteners on my skid plate, they're allen head, and couldn't get the allen wrench in so had to use a pair of vice grips to get it off, so I had to pick up new ones. I found what I needed and figured I'd use new washers too. I picked out 4 new ones from the metric drawer but they were smaller on the outside diameter than the stock washer, about that time one of the hardware fellas came around and offered to help, he came back with what was almost identical to the stock, but they were english and not metric. The Metric washers were 17 cents each, the english were 5 cents each. Only thing I can figure is it must cost more for a metric hole!
