I think I know the answer, but how is the chrome trim held onto the body on the convertibles. Clips or is it sticky tape. I think they are too old for the tape route as original. Looking at some doors, but don't want to hassle with filling the holes made for clips. The service manual donesn't cover the trim.

Yes, The trim is held on by clips. If you are looking at vert doors, there are also other differences. The deluxe trim panels on the interior(lots of holes for those) and a wrinkle finish on the interior as well. Dave
