On my 92' I have compression readings per cylinder:
40
154
155
154
Is there a way to test if its the valve or ring(s) before i tear into it?

87 Samurai- 5.12's locked up,4340 front,hybrid rear,4.16's,P/S.,Toy. carb.,DT header, 33's, 2" exhaust and Durabak inside and out.
92 Samurai- Its next!!!

yes add oil to the cyl that has the low comp if it goes up its the rings if it doesn't its the valves

squirt oil in the cylinder-it pressure goes up suspect the
rings-if it stays pretty much the same suspect valves-don't
rule out a head gasket tho but usualy they go bad between
two cylinders causing 2 low readings--oldzuki

whoa if you get down to that much compression you must really be losing power..I think I will get one done just in'case!
