I would stay clear of that, around here you can get a MUCH better deal. Like theone I saw today in the want ads and the GUY WILL NOT CALL ME BACK, 89 70K cracked widesheild, no title (don't need one in NH) for $500!!!!! I would buy that tomorrow if the guy called me back!!!!

I have the same thing, but I'd pass on it if it needs tranny work. If you find one in good condition they're great trucks (my opinion).

 

IMO if the boddy is clean and you can do the tranny yourself, thats not a horrible price. Although I'd still try to talk em down a couple hundo. If the tranny is a 4 speed it's the AX-4 if it's a 5 speed then it's the AX-5.

 

You can probably get a full-size Jeep pickup (J-10, J-20) for $600...

I might be getting an '85 J-10 (that needs some work) for $200-300 next weekend.
I know where an '83 Cherokee Laredo is for $800. It also needs (mostly body) work, but the drivetrain is ideal... 360/TF-727/NP-208/D44F/AMC20HD

 

I wish I could say the same about where I live Sycho. I'd have my drivway full if that were the case. J-Trucks and FSJ's didn't survive long in the rust belt.
