what kind of coil do i have in my 89 4.3? im looking to get an MSD and want to get the right one. it is the dual connector correct? I'm either thinking of getting the replacement GM one, or get the Blaster 2 and the ignition box, and the 8.5mm wire with either option...

If I remember correctly it has the Square Coil in it ....
I looked in a Summit raceing Mag and found the MSD coil that will work you may Have to redo the mout a little but it Should work .....The Part number is MSD-8226 and runs $38.95 But I would Suggest Calling Summit Raceing to make shure

If you decide to install a high performance coil on these trucks, be forewarned, you have to hook up several resistors, capacitors and other doodads to make it work properley, otherwise KABLOOEY you'll blow the coil.

Just my 2 cents.
