Neutral saftey switches yes, clutch saftey switches no. Never seen a Clutch saftey switch on a Jeep, I have an 89 Wrangler 5 speed without a clutch saftey switch, don't know about a TJ, never seen a 5 speed XJ or ZJ.

I have the SM465! The SM is for Slow Mover, and the 465 is the wieght in pounds.

 

I got my first ride in a TJ today, never been inside another. It was a '98 with a five speed and it had the clutch saftey switch, so I guess they started them on the TJ's. Just sold an 89XJ 5-speed and now I have a 95XJ 5-speed. Neither one has a switch.
