I've heard they are a problem....now I know. I have a 68 Jeepster with 225 V6, where do I get a new cable? 3 speed T14a? Your help/insight is much appreciated.

Thanks for the info. The cable didn't break, but seems to be stretching. I have to keep adjusting it. I'm hoping it is not something more serious. Thanks again.

Is it an original cable on there now? Cables do strech, and your clutch does wear, so you wil always have to adjust it, but newer cables seem to be way cheaper quality than the originals. You can also have a custom cable shop make you a beefy one that you will have forever for just a wee bit more $$.

I took out the original cable last night. It had signs of unwinding near the connection to the arm. I would hate to think it is anything else. I am going to get a new one today and hopefully put it in tonight. If this doesn't fix it....

Thanks again.
