They are already protected from being cut down... What else could you do to them? Do people harm them now? I seriously doubt it... It is a blatant attempt to keep people out...

54 to 45...my vote is in. Its BS when the president can make a law without a vote. This is an example of gov't becoming too big. When the people no longer count. Another example is when the federal gov't feels they should decide if a state can fly a flag over their capital. or when the INS is no longer capable of deciding when an illegal immigrant should be sent back to Cuba...It will only get worse if we dont speak up...an MSNBC vote won't do jack...but it is a start.
