are there any flaws i should know? for all you CJ5 owners...
are they reliable?
will it last longer? considering it's older than i am...
any information or link that could help me get to know the car before i buy one of my own

my email is [email protected]

thanks,

Mark

I love my 5, but sometimes wish I had a CJ7 for the extra room/length. You can modify it much easier than the 5. On some trails shorter is better though /wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif, I was making turns where all the 7s' and TJs' were doing three point turns.

Don't you mean they are easier to put tall lifts on and/or longer drivetrains due to the wheelbase difference?

Almost everything else is the same. If you don't plan on a really tall lift or a long drivetrain............../wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif

I like the 5 for the same ability to negociate tight trails and obsticles, and I also like the classic look with the rounded door cut-outs.

There are a ton of web pages out there to help you modify either rig. If you plan on buying a Jeep expect to spend a lot of time working on it. If not to fix it, to modify it.....it just goes with the territory (not really a bad thing).

Make sure you take a good look at the frame, they have a tendency to rot out near the back. Mine did, and a lot of the other ones i've seen have also. Alex
