CJ Body Lift Pro\'s/Con\'s

I have an 80 CJ5. I'd like some information about using a body lift. I'm thinking of going from 33's to 35's. Would 2" of body lift be enough? I have about 4" of spring/shackle lift now. No problems with the current lift setup and 33's. What kind of modifications are required, if any, with a 2" body lift. I figured the master cylinder brake lines and maybe the steering shaft. Lift kits are not real expensive, any comments on a good kit would also help.
Thanks in advance,
dave

Re: CJ Body Lift Pro\'s/Con\'s

On a CJ5, by using a body lift, you're throwing the center of gravity higher - less stability. Consider how it will affect you on the trail (higher chance of roll-over).
As far as modifications go, (I have a 2" body lift on my Scrambler), you'll need to extend the clutch linkage and steering shaft. Watch your brake lines - they
may need to be longer. Four Wheel Drive Hardware has a good kit at a good price.
The lift along with what you have in suspension lift, should accomodate 35's.
