Anyone know of a place selling front carpet only for a CJ-7? That's all I need and I would prefer not to spend extra for rear carpeting as I won't use it. Thanks.

Carpet is a rust magnet anyhow .Dirt gets under it and acts just like sandpaper on the paint ,then when it gets wet and doesn't dry for days it rusts your floorboards out.

Learn to let go of what does not serve you ,but forces you to serve it

Carpet, hmmm... I like the way it looks, but for the most part, the carpet you buy for jeeps is pretty thin stuff. Try buying and cutting your own with thicker style indoor/outdoor carpet. I like carpet because the stuff inside the jeep (attached or not) rattles less. Carpet dust/dirt vaccums easier than metal or spray liners. What I did on my CJ7 was spray the entire tub and floors with spray liner, but that gets dusty and is hard to keep clean looking. I got some thick rubber bottomed outdoor carpet and cut a piece for the rear tub, under the seats, and up to the feet area. the tranny hump is hard to mold carpet to so I left that alone and put a flimsy rubber mat down the middle. The jeep now runs quieter and the carpet is completely removable for cleaning and airing out. If I know it's going to get messy, I remove it all anyway. As far as the feet area goes, I have those thick rubber deep grooved floor mats, that covers most of that area anyway. Good Luck
