How many different CJ5 door openings are there? Talking about through the years. Meaning for the making of half doors. I got a new job last week at another sign shop and will be able to start making the aluminum half doors again. but want to expand into the cj`s a little more. I have a pattern from a 74 CJ5. Just wondering if there are differences.
As far as I know, for a half door the opening would be the same. There are some changes in the windshield in later models, but the door opening in the tub was the same from the first to the last CJ5.

The only major changes to 5's throughout the years were wheelbase and windshields. I believe the door patterns remained the same. Would you be taking orders for a set of doors in the future?

The Door Openings themselves are the exact same throughout the life of the CJ-5. I belive the latching mechanism changed a bit over the course of its lifetime though.
Right now I have enough material to make two sets I belive. Now as far as the hinges go, would you guys like to make your own? or... Because the later models have the hinge brkts on the body already. It would also make them cheaper Let Me know
Thanx Mike
