Evenin all. The front bumper tube thing and bumper itself were eating my kickin super swampers like there was no tommrow (okokokok, so there was just a little scratch here and there).. I wanted to be able to turn to full lock with no rub at all. Also, I noticed if I pulled out from a gas station or my work with any speed, the tires would bottom out and rub bad. Sounded like the tires were eating the zook! With some thinking here and there I came up with a plan to trim the front bumper.. I don't like crappy mods and wanted it to look good, so I took great care in doing so. I want to post the whole series of pix on izook.com
What do you all think on how she looks with the face lift?

thanks
later..

wait a tick, I noticed you cut the ears that the bumper mounts to, so how did you mount it back up when you were done hackin? curious, cuz I'm getting a new zuk and it is minus the front bumper. Unfortunately the local law enforcement officials (read: fuzz) frown upon not having a front bumper so I will have to install my spare stock one for the time being. but this new rig has already had the ears cut off, so I didn't know how to mount them.

I never removed the front bumper, I cut everything while it was still attached. See the picture and look @ the arrow.. There is a small lip on the bottom and the top, I did not cut the sides totally off (I think it looks better). I'll post some measurements this evening and more of the pictures. Izook.com will have this pretty soon also, so keep checking them too.. I am also thinking on trimming the existing side cap things to go back onto the bumper as an option. I dunno how it'll look though.. I'll keep everyone posted tho..

Good question, I just cut off the ears and left the bumper alone. I dunno how it is connected, I'll check right now.. okoookokokk, I can see how you all are looking @ me like I have a frog growing out of my head. Check out my link: http://www.geocities.com/bik3r/suzuki/suzuki.htm
look @ the picture on the top and the second picture.. I've got some kinna front brush guard thing. The stock bumper alone is heald on by the ear things (I cut those away). My front bumper is now held on by that front brush guard thinggie.. There are 2 bolts on the top and the bottom of the bumper rests on the brush guard frame.. I'll see if there is a sollution for everyone without the brush guard..

I did that awhile back on my zuk. The 215's didnt rub but i took the flares off so it looked stupid havin the bumper squared off. I just took a swanson speed square and made a line and cut them off with a sawzall.

I also cut the back bumper corners off. Now the bumper only goes along the bottom of the tailgate. It no longer wraps around the side.

Its a great mod and helps out tremendous.
