Hey guys!

How about something for either this Saturday or Sunday, provided it warms up and melts some?

Maybe in the CT/RI/Central MA area?

I'm looking to get out.

If not this weekend, then how about the following Saturday?

I would be one of the first to be down at short notice but blowing a winch and tcase in the same day is limiting me... I need to get this stuff repaired then I'll be ready and willing again; next week, I should be good.

Things for me are about to get real busy. Got nearly all my stuff in for my sammy build and will really be taking up my weekends from here on out. Also gotta do a parts swap to a "new" Tracker. Nice, clean '94 to replace the rusted '89. Then I get the fuel injected 8V for the sammy and the tracker 2WD tranny
Things will come together when we all get the rigs together again.

a lot of us NE guys go into 'mod mode' in the winter. I will be coming out of it soon. I will need to get out a few times before Paragon in June to work the bugs out

My cars all the way around me are falling apart. The blue HT clutch is slipping so bad I hardly made it up the hill home. The black ST is in so many pieces I can't even count them. The Subaru battery is dead and oil is about 2 years old and the Taurus is in the best shape with needing front struts. No garage and the snow keeps coming. Where is spring???

my samurai isnt registered and I have no way to get it to a trail. I also have about 1/2" clearance between my front fenders and my tires, so wheeling wouldn't be very pleasant (yet) even if I had a way to get the thing to the trail. I have at least a couple weekends worth of mods to do on the rig before this season (SPOA,front and rear axle swaps, etc.)

Hey, don't get so excited you goons.

I'm swapping in samurai axles. The toy axles will have to wait until the coil conversion.

I have a front sami axle with a lockrite and knuckle over steering already installed in it and even with the pads already installed for YJ SPOA. I just need to swap out my (bent) front axle housing and pop this unit in. Then I'm gonna snatch the brakes off the bent housing and stick 'em in the rear of the truck. I alreayd have the spidertrax T-case Ebrake setup ready to install so I dont have to worry about having no ebrake.

For the rear axle, I have the stock rear that came under the blue sami when I got it. its less rusty than the one in my sami now, so I'm going to do the disk brake conversion to that axle, swap in the pumpkin with the minispool, put it under the truck and get the spring pads welded up.

I also have an extended slip yoke driveshaft for this arrangement, a panhard bar (needs mounts) and will be helping fab a trac bar/driveshaft protector for the rear.

Once the suspension is squared away I can install the new mondo rear bumper I have sitting on sawhorses in my basement.

In addition to the above stuff, I have secured a 1.6 8V (needs refurbishing) for a near future conversion at which time I Will also be putting in tracker power steering (already have this stuff too).

The coil conversion got pushed off to when I can change to better axles ($$$ to get lockers and all that). I figure I can get some good fun out of the YJ SPOA, locker/spool deal while I save up some jingle for the next round of stuf.

and I have snow tires. Lots of them.
