Hey guys. My jeep is not stable on the off camber stuff.
It is a 63 CJ5 with stock axles.
Well currently i have SOA with stock YJ springs and 3 inch body lift. For of all the body lift will be removed, i only installed it to clear dual fenderwell exhaust, but i am going to go back to single exhaust. I am runnign pizza cutter 34 x 10.50. Also i am running stock wrangler shackles.
I am planning:
1. Remove.. remove remove body lift.
2. goto wider tires. probably 35/36 x 14.50 swampers.
3. goto offset rims.
I want to keep the stock axles, actually i will probably swamp the dana 27 for a 30 eventually. I want to keep it a bit skinny, and money is a factor, plus i have the WARN FF kit in the rear and want to keep it because i flat tow it quite a bit.
If i goto offset rims, how much is too much before the bearings start to get damaged.
I am only runnig a buick V6 motor, so I am not too worried bout breaking.
I am trying to keep it a bit lightweight and nimble.
I plan on hacving to hog out the rear fenders for the 35/36 tires... not a problem, for the front i am making tube fenders for it.
Is there any other tricks i can apply to keep gravity down and keep my jeep a bit more planted. I do nto ride off camber that much at all, but i do goto Tellico and parts north to play. Down this far south in Florida it is mud mud and more mud.
thanks guys!!!!
