Kragen gave me a price quote for a rebuilt Carter for my CJ for $194. Are these any good? the reason why I ask is that the price seems to good to be true. I've gotten price quotes from other places for about $450-$500. Any suggestions on where I could get a good rebuild for a good price?

I got my re-built carter BBD @ autozone for 145.00

How has your Carter held up after the purchase? Is it acting up again like all Carter BBD's?

I have not had any real problems with the Carter, I have however pulled all the "crap" from the motor on my 86" 258. I now use a non-computer controlled Carter form an earlier CJ along with the EGR and charcoal canister. In y opiion the Carter is as good a carb. as any other, they all have thier draw backs. I think this is why fuel injection was invented.
