I have a '79 CJ with a Carter BBD, on the backside (toward firewall) at the
top of the carb there is a hose connection. Mine has a plug on it. Is
their supposed to be something connected here or should it be plugged?

Also, where does the vacuum line on the diverter valve connet to?

Thanks for any help.

You should leave the port on the air horn plugged. Of course you COULD go to an equipment dealer and get a little "gauge" that indicates how dirty your air filter is and hook it up there. It would be pretty silly, but you could if you wanted to.

The vacuum line on the diverter valve hooks to manifold vacuum. There should be a small port on the base of the carb. I think it is on the back. There will be a bigger one near it that goes to your PCV valve

My other car is a BULLDOZER
