Not sure that Carter has them but Holley has a spring loaded needle and seat assembly that solves the problem. Lowering the float level may help but usually this alone will not solve flooding problem.

this question will probably apply to any carb. the carb floods out on steep inclines. what can be done to mitigate this agravating occurance? i have heard that you can lower float bowl setting and do some bowl vent thing. anyone come up with a good fix? lbjeeper
